SELF-MADE MAN

This is the title of Norah Vincent's latest book. As it's possible the author isn't well known for us, I'll tell you a few things about her.

Norah Vincent is a very famous journalist in the U.S.. Her mates says that she's a true freethinker and independent colummnist He's been writing a lot of articles and reviews in many different regional and national newspapers and magazines, like The New Repuplic, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, and above all in The Advocate, a national gay and lesbian newsmagazine, where she has a quarterly politics and culture column. She is also known in America as guest in a lot of television and radio talk shows.

One day, Norah left her job for 18 months and began to write the book "Self-Made Man. This was a story about a woman who lived in drag . For that, she disguised and lived as a man all this time. She was contracted as seller in a business. She lived together with other men and could know all the things about the men world, even the masculin life dark side. She was in places like night clubs and , hearing all types of sexist comments.

The journey into the world of men is an exceptional investigation work. She shows us as men behave in different situations and what difficult is their role. Norah Vincent's book undresses the masculin Universe.
After this experience, Norah thinks about men that they have blocked their mind due to they have to prove their manliness. She proposes that men should loose their fears of being sensitive.
